Friedrichshafen, June 5, 2014. Spend a day taking a closer look at what goes on in the workplace and get an idea of the career prospects on offer. That is what school students from the Lake Constance region will be able to do from 08:00 h to 16:00 h at the “Training Day” to be held on Wednesday, 25. June 2014 by Rolls-Royce Power Systems subsidiary MTU Friedrichshafen. Whether it is an apprenticeship or a course of further study, technical or commercial, electronics or industrial management – all of the training and education courses on offer at MTU will be covered during the event. School students and their parents are welcome to look in at MTU Plant 1 on Maybachplatz – no advance registration needed.
Various hands-on experiences will be available to give students a foretaste of what might be in store for them at work – producing a keyfob or working on automated models, for example. A tour of the training workshops will also provide a unique insight into exactly what is involved. At the info-booth, some of our current trainees will be on hand to answer questions on commercial training and dual study courses. ʺVisitors will have a chance to meet our trainers and trainees and discuss any and all of our vocational courses, whether they are technical or commercial,ʺ said Martin Stocker, Head of Training at MTU Friedrichshafen.
“Training Day” is designed for school-leavers from any type of school and anyone who has a special interest in a particular course can apply directly at www.rrpowersystems.com. Deadlines for applications for training courses and dual study courses due to start in 2015 are in August and September of this year.
